Todoroki's POV

"Giraffes!" cheered Eri. She was watching them with wide eyes.
"Sho-chan, look!" exclaimed Y/N as she tapped my arm. "It's so cute!" I followed her gaze to a baby giraffe. I nodded my head in agreement. Suddenly, Y/N's eyes went wide. Next thing I knew, Eri had appeared in Y/N's arms out of nowhere.

"Are you alright? What happened??" asked Y/N.
"Person." Eri stated, pointing in a direction. Both Y/N and I turned to see a hooded figure staring at us. "Hood." stated Eri. On instinct, I ran after the figure. They spun around and bolted in the opposite direction, weaving through the sea of people. I followed suit. The moment I reached them, I pinned them to the ground. Y/N caught up, still carrying Eri.

"The person grabbed me and tried to take me away, so I pulled the ribbon." explained Eri as she stared at the person. Y/N approached the person and kneeled, lifting off their hood.
"Pikachu, I freaking swear. Why in the name of All Might did you grab Eri??" asked Y/N as she glared at the yellow haired culprit.
"Sorry, but I can't talk." Kaminari replied with a nervous laugh.
"I know plenty of ways to get the truth out of someone. Unluckily for you, most of them include blood. Talk." Y/N said, narrowing her eyes at him.
"We both know you'd never do something like that." he replied.
"Yeah, well, if you don't start talking, I'm taking you to the police for investigation. Kidnapping is a crime, you know." shrugged Y/N.
"The class has been following the three of you the entire time!" he blurted out.
"That was fast, talk about lack of loyalty." said Y/N. "I was wondering why I had this strange feeling. I thought maybe it was my imagination, but turns out we were actually were being followed. Your reply doesn't answer the question, but whatever."
"Can you get off of me now?" asked Kaminari. I stood up, letting him go.
"Well, what do you want to see next, Eri?" asked Y/N.
"What's a jellyfish?" asked Eri.
"This is a zoo, not an aquarium." I stated.
"Actually, they have a small aquarium further towards the back." I said. "Although, I'm not quite sure what they have there."
"Let's go!" exclaimed Eri.
"Alright." laughed Y/N as she began walking in a certain direction. I followed behind them.
"Hey! Wait for me!" exclaimed Kaminari as he ran to catch up.
"Why would we wait for a kidnapper?" called Y/N over her shoulder. "Come on." she said as she grabbed my hand and sped up. It didn't take long to lose Kaminari in the crowd.

"Jeez, he wasn't kidding." said Y/N. "19 hooded figures are following us."
"How do you know?" I asked, gazing around.
"I have a lot of experience in spotting sketchy people. One is four o'clock from you." stated Y/N. I turned my head and sure enough there was a hooded person crouching behind a trashcan.
"Do you think they'll try to get Eri again?" I asked.
"If they consider thinking this through, no. If their determination takes over their sense of logic, yes." replied Y/N. "We're here."

We had arrived at a set of steps leading downwards. Y/N carried Eri down while I followed behind them.

"It's a bar." stated Y/N as she looked around. She made another ribbon for Eri before setting her down. Eri immediately ran towards one of the glass windows and gazed at all the fish.
"Are kids allowed down here?" I asked.
"There are other children down here, so I assume the answer is yes." replied Y/N.
"Shouldn't we be following her?"
"I've been keeping track of her ribbon." stated Y/N. "Plus, I don't want her to feel like she's being monitored."
"It's not monitoring. We're just making sure she's safe." I said.
"That's what the people at the hospital I had to stay in before would tell me, but if I went too far from one of the nurses or left my room at night, I'd be hunted down like I was a criminal." said Y/N. "It's the feeling that you're trapped with nowhere to run to and feel safe that messes with your head and eats you up inside."
"Do you see a lot of yourself when you look at Eri?" I asked. She nodded her head with a sigh. I watched as her mouth curved into a bright smile.
"Look!" she exclaimed. I turned my head to see Eri watching a swarm of jellyfish. Y/N giggled as Eri suddenly yawned. "We should head back soon." said Y/N. "She probably needs a nap."
"People take naps at 3:00?" I asked, checking the time on my phone.
"We might need to work on her sleep schedule..." muttered Y/N. "But a one hour nap starting at three is a pretty good time for a nap. As long as she gets 9 to 12 hours of sleep each night, she'll be fine."
"How do you know all of this?" I asked.
"The kids at your mom's hospital are about her age." she replied. "Seeing as we had lunch at around 2:00, we've been here for a little under 1 hour."
"It hasn't been that long." I said.
"It really hasn't, but Eri just yawned again and her eyes are getting droopy so I'm starting to think it's her nap time." Both of us walked towards Eri who was still watching the jellyfish.

"Eri, are you tired?" asked Y/N. Eri nodded her head.
"I still want to see the jellyfish." she yawned.
"We'll take you here again some time soon, okay?" said Y/N. Eri nodded her head and raised her arms upwards towards me.
"Carry." she stated sleepily. Y/N giggled as I picked her up.
"Aww~ She likes you!~" she sang out with a smile on her face. "Let's head back to the dorms. I have a feeling that she doesn't want to nap at the hospital."
"Isn't it weird for 15 year olds to be carrying around a 6 year old?" I asked.
"I guess." replied Y/N. "Most parents stop carrying their children at around 5 because they become too heavy or because they simply don't want to be carried."
"She's pretty light." I stated.
"Villains don't give their prisoners six course meals." stated Y/N. "I doubt the conditions with Chisaki are much better than with the league."
"She's practically a mini Y/N." I chuckled.
"Be quiet, Bad Apple." yawned Eri.
"Yeah, be quiet." laughed Y/N.

Okay, so I will be putting this book on a temporary break. I'll be publishing a short story (idk how long it'll be) to help with writer's block. Will I make people cry with that one too? Idk, I hope not. It's called "Chasing What's Lost" and the prologue will be up soon!
